CALEXICO — Calexico's city council held a special meeting Thursday, December 29, declaring a local emergency due to several cases of migrants crossing the border to find shelter in the streets of Calexico. The City of Calexico has limited resources and is in need of state and federal aid if Title 42 is lifted at the beginning of February.
