IMPERIAL VALLEY — The 2023 edition of regular season softball has ended for the Imperial Valley League and first place honors were secured by Holtville. The Lady Vikings took first place in IVL softball with a record of 8-1 for the regular season league title. Holtville started off tight-fisted on the pads and aggressive at the plate in their first three games after logging 21 scored runs and conceding only two - with victories over Brawley (6-0), Central (9-0), and Calexico (6-2). Holtville continued to hone in on their adversaries as the Lady Viking continued their wing ways in their next two outings with wins versus Brawley (2-0) and Central (13-5).
